Import Cross Section Set Import SEE Cross Sections

(This functionality is available with the Profiles and Design module)
(Not available in LISCAD Lite)

Imports a cross section set from another SEE project. The primary alignment required for the cross section set must already be present in the current see project.

To obtain this option, select the Profile/Cross Section/Import/SEE Sections command from the Profiles task to display the relevant dialog box.

Item Used to
Browse: Select the other SEE file which has the desired cross section set.
Data Set: Display the selected other SEE file name.
Cross Section Set: Select the cross section set to be imported.
Code Table: Select the code table to be used in the import process.
You should select a code table which has feature codes defined which match the feature codes in the cross section set to be imported.
Refer to the Code Table topic and the Utilities/ Tables/Code Table commands for additional information on the benefits and use of code tables.
Alignment: Select an alignment from the current SEE project to be used in cross section import process. If you wish to use an alignment from the SEE file containing the cross section set (or from any external source), you need to have first imported that alignment before importing the cross section set.
Cross Section Set Name: Enter the name to be given to the imported cross section set.
This can be a unique name up to 31 characters.
Open Cross Section in: Select if the cross section is to be displayed when created. The user has three options, they are.
  1. Do not open - If this option is selected the cross section will be generated and a cross section view will not be created.
  2. New Cross Section View - If this option is selected a new cross section view will be created and become the current view when the cross section set is generated.
  3. Cross Section View X - All existing cross section views are available for selection from the list. They are named Cross Section 1, Cross Section 2, etc.
    If there is only one existing cross section view, then its name is "Cross Section View".
Colour: Set the colour attribute to any one of 256 colours, ranging from 0 to 255.
Line Style: Open the line style library dialog box.
OK: Import the cross section and close the dialog box.
Cancel: Close the dialog box without importing and creating the cross section.

The imported cross sections will not retain any status values that they had in the other SEE file.
