.If you want to see which objects will be acted upon once a block has been defined, open up the "Display/Features" dialog, select the "Features" tab and turn on the "Apply Block" check box. This will apply the block conditions to the display and you will only see the objects that satisfy the block criteria.

.Quickly get access to the "Display Features" and "Display Groups" commands by right clicking on the graphics window (available when no other commands are active).

.When forming models in LISCAD, you can exclude areas, such as buildings or lakes, by setting the "Boundary" line attribute. This attribute is held against each contourable string which governs whether the string is to be used as a boundary during model formation.

.If you want to import the contents of AutoCAD blocks into LISCAD as individual graphic elements, rather than LISCAD interpreting the blocks as symbols, you must first "Explode" the blocks in AutoCAD before creating the DXF file.

.When using the "Transformations Editor" the control and local coordinates can be defined and chosen from different data files. Select the points that define the control coordinates in one data file, leave the editor open, but close the data file and open a second data file, then simply select the points that define the local coordinates from the second data file.

.The "Least Squares" editor can exclude observations from the adjustment process. Rather then deleting an unwanted row, simply highlight the row and select "Edit/Exclude Observation" from the menu.
